Varundeep Singh

I am Varundeep Singh, also known as @thevarundeep on the internet. Right now I'm building distribution infrastructure for tech brands under my agency, Heek, and tinkering with a few other experiments in media. I started working when I was fifteen, and somehow every path I took led me back to media - I've come to think this is the thing that defines me.

I like to think of myself as a curious kid who never stopped asking questions - the kind who takes a thing apart to understand it and can't rest until he's found the answer. I see a life the way you'd read a long game: one or two main quests that give it its shape, and a hundred side quests that give it its texture. I believe the next decade belongs to media, and I'm here to play the media game. My main quest is simple to say and hard to do - to build an empire in media.

The side quests are where a lot of the living happens:

• A real body transformation - I want to earn skills that demand an agile, enduring body, a martial art among them.
• Earning my skydiving license.
• Getting my drifting license - in progress right now.
• Building my personal brand and my own distribution on the internet.
• Learning Persian, slowly, for the sheer pleasure of the language.

Travel isn't a hobby for me - it sits closer to the centre of my life than almost anything else. Nothing makes me feel as alive as standing in a part of the world I've never seen. Every country is a different ruleset, another answer to how a life can be lived, and I've come to collect them less as places than as questions.

The count is at nine; the real goal is all of them - 195 countries, every one on earth, before I die. I can already picture the version of my life where I go full‑time: no fixed address, just the next border. That version doesn't scare me at all - if anything, it feels like coming home.

Most of my free time goes into feeding a curiosity that has nothing to do with work. I fall down rabbit holes in philosophy and neuroscience, history and geopolitics, theology and mythology, biology and anatomy, linguistics and the arts. What I love most are the seams where these meet - how the mind builds a self, why civilisations rise and fall, what the old poets already knew. I'd rather stay a lifelong generalist who keeps asking than a specialist who stops.
